Kagiso Rabada

Kagiso Rabada, the South African cricket player, is known as “Kagiso.” In November 2014, he played his first ODI for South Africa. In 2015, he played his first test. By January 2018, Rabada had made a big impact on international cricket, as he had become one of the best ODI and Test bowlers in the world. He became the youngest bowler to get 150 wickets in a test match at the age of 23. In August 2018, ‘Wisden’ said that he was the best young player in the world. At Cricket South Africa’s annual dinner, Kagiso Rabada won “ODI Cricketer of the Year,” “Test Cricketer,” and “Cricketer of the Year.” He has played for the “Delhi Daredevils,” which is now called “Delhi Capitals,” in the popular Twenty20 cricket league, “Indian Premier League” (IPL).

Early years and childhood

On May 25, 1995, in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, Kagiso Rabada was born to Mpho and Florence Rabada. Methodist parochial school “St. Andrew’s” was where he received his education. St. Titus’s School for Boys.” The Gauteng cricket team choose him to play first-class cricket in the CSA Provincial One-Day Competition in December 2013 against the Border team. He was chosen to play in the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup because of how well he did at the first-class level.
South Africa won the 2014 “Under-19 Cricket World Cup” because Rabada took 14 wickets. South Africa won the tournament for the first time because of their average economy rate of 3.10. Due to his speed and accuracy, he was called “the fastest and most feared bowler” in the tournament.
After that, Rabada joined a team called “The Highveld Lions” that plays professional cricket. He then played for the “Lions” in “The Sunfoil Series,” a domestic first-class cricket tournament, where he took seven wickets in two games.

Domestic and IPL

Kagiso Rabada followed up his great performance at the “Under-19 Cricket World Cup” by taking a record of 14 wickets for the “Lions” in a match against the “Hollywoodbets Dolphins” in February 2015. The English first-class county club “Kent County Cricket Club” signed him the following year. Rabada didn’t get to play in the 2016 season of the “Indian Premier League” because he signed with an English club. During his time in England, he played two “County Championships” and six “T20” games for the “Kent County Cricket Club.” At the 2017 “IPL Player Auction”Rabada was purchased by the “Delhi Daredevils” in February for INR 50 million. In January 2018, the “Delhi Daredevils” bought him again. But because of an injury, he couldn’t play in the 2018 “IPL” season. In October 2018, he signed on with a South African team called the “Jozi Stars” to play in the first “Mzansi Super League” T20 cricket tournament. In the “IPL” in 2019, he played for the “Delhi Capitals.”

Working in other countries

Kagiso Rabada’s first T20 international game was against Australia on November 5, 2014. He played his first one-day international match against Bangladesh on July 10, 2015. Rabada was only the second person to get a hat-trick (three wickets in a row) in their first ODI. He played his first test match on November 5, 2015, against India. After that, he was chosen to play against England on the tour in 2015–16. Rabada took 13 wickets in the fourth Test match against England, making him the youngest South African bowler ever to take ten wickets in a Test match. Because of what he did, his team was able to beat England on their own turf. During South Africa’s tour of England in 2017, Rabada got into an argument with English player Ben Stokes after getting Stokes out on the first day of the first Test match at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Rabada was then banned from the second Test match because he had used “inappropriate language” during the first one. Rabada took four wickets in the third ODI match of South Africa’s 2017 tour of England. This made him the best ODI bowler in the world. He was also the youngest player to top the “ICC ODI bowler rankings” since Saqlain Mushtaq in 1998. When he took five wickets in the first Test match against India in 2018, he became the best Test bowler in the world. In 2018, when Australia came to play, he took 11 wickets in the second test match. He became the fourth South African after Shaun Pollock, Vernon Philander, and Dale Steyn to reach 900 points in the ICC Test bowler rankings because of how well he played. In July 2018, he became the youngest bowler in Test cricket history to take 150 wickets. He also became the third South African bowler to get 150 test wickets in the third fastest time. In March 2019, he played against Sri Lanka and got his 100th ODI wicket. In April 2019, South Africa’s national team picked him to play in the 2019 “Cricket World Cup.” Rabada has been named “Man of the Match” and “Man of the Series” several times because of how well he played. He has also won a lot of awards at Cricket South Africa’s annual dinner.

Family and other things

Kagiso Rabada’s father, Mpho Rabada, is a doctor. Florence Rabada, his mother, is a lawyer. Rabada’s family likes to stay out of the spotlight. He doesn’t talk much about his family because he wants to protect their privacy. Rabada is active on Twitter and other social media sites. In 2018, he joked on social media that his girlfriend wasn’t happy that his teammate Faf du Plessis kissed him on the forehead when he dismissed Indian player Hardik Pandya during India’s tour of South Africa. This got a lot of people’s attention. His fans liked what he wrote, and many of them liked his sense of humor.
